Pinkrimage Weekend Tea party Part 3

Hey

How is your weekend going?? Yesterday i saw “blended”….a Rom-com featuring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. You NEED to watch this movie…we laughed our brains off…..i haven’t seen a movie this fun in a really long time…! Ok so today’s tea party is a discussion and not tags. Serious discussions because it is a very sensitive topic and many women fail to distinguish the two faces of makeup.

So one face of makeup is where a woman uses makeup because she finds it fun, stress-relieving, wants to accentuate her features like bold eyes, bold lip etc. This is the fun side of makeup. You get up in the morning, apply a bold lip colour just because you want to and go to work or outdoors. This feeling that makeup brings is therapeutic and reveals the fun side to you. you are not ashamed to flaunt your naked skin but you want to apply a kohl to get those sultry erotic eyes!

The other face of makeup is where a woman uses makeup to mask herself…her flaws…her under confidence…and her feelings. She applies makeup because she is afraid that without makeup, she is not like-able or nobody would look at her or she is not beautiful. This is the bad side of makeup. Β This makes a woman under confident. She has lost the faith that she can go outside to work or anywhere without any makeup. She compulsorily applies a full base makeup and bold eyes and lips even if inside she is just dying to go natural and with less makeup.

I am NOT saying that go to work or outdoor like a zombie. There is a difference between well-groomed and…Let’s say overdoing it. I want to just ask that how many of you love makeup but are not afraid of going outside with a naked face? How many of you feel comfortable showing off your freckles and blemishes? How many of you DO NOT use makeup as a camouflage?

Share your views…i really want women to understand the difference between the two flip sides of makeup. If you are on the first side, you have nothing to worry. But if you are on the second side, we will plan a skincare routine for you to hop to the first side and flaunt your natural skin to the world and not be apologetic about it πŸ™‚

nicely written mily. i believe in minimal makeup. i just use kajal and lip gloss on a normal day. i know it too minimal πŸ˜€ . while attending a function I love wearing make up.

sadly… am on second side.. can you help me to plan a good routine?

    1. mily

That is commendable Jyoti..i am so proud of you πŸ™‚ yes pls..that is the sole motto of me posing this question πŸ™‚ what is your skin like?

      1. Jyoti

        πŸ™‚ Ok..
I’ve a combination skin… turns to combination to oily in summers and combination to dry in winters…
Due to harmonal disbalances, the area around lips and forehead is tad darker than rest of the face… the area of forehead looks like there are tiny pimples allover.. in fact my face and neck in 5-7 times darker than my body… πŸ™
        I don’t have acne problems as such… but I’ve stubborn blackheads ..

        Current Skin Care Routine:
        Cleanser: MAC Cleanse Off Oil
Face Wash: Kama Rose Jasmine Face Cleanser
        Toner: Kama Rose Water
        Moisturiser: Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturiser

        For makeup I use:
        BB Cream: Ponds/Bourjois/Maybelline
Foundation: Clinique Even Better, MAC Studio
        Compact: Lotus Herbals Ecostay

Apart from this, I have used various DIYs – Curd+Kesar, Orange Peel Powder+Milk+Sandalwood Powder.
I’ve VLCCs depigmentation kit, Aroma Magic Activated Bamboo Charcoal 6 in 1 Pack, VLCCs Sun Protection Face Pack, Some Himalaya Face Packs… What not..?

Nothing seems to help … I wrote too much but it was necessary isn’t it? πŸ˜‰

        1. Jyoti

Additonally I use TBS Serum Oil in the night…

        2. mily

definitely Jyoti πŸ˜€ i will get back to you after making a nice skincare routine for you πŸ™‚

          1. Jyoti

I have been on both sides. There was a point about 2 years ago where I could not go to work without makeup! Not exactly lack of confidence but because I gave an ego boost. Then I developed very serious adult acne and I couldn’t wear makeup. I was worried what people would think or say. But nobody said anything. Now I can live with or without it. Its just I love it too much to give it up.
